Popular local activities include boat trips and water sports on Lake Windermere, as well as walking and cycling in the Lake District National Park. There are many gardens, heritage properties and places of historical interest to enjoy. Also there is the fantastic open top bus!
The town of Bowness has many attractions: independent shops, boutiques, The World of Beatrix Potter, a fantastic period cinema, the Old Laundry theater, varied restaurants, cafés and pubs, all just a two minute walk away from Puddle Duck Lodge.
