A Literary Retreat in the Heart of Manhattan: Hotel Élysée

Nestled on a tree-lined stretch of East 54th Street, Hotel Élysée—part of the Library Hotel Collection—offers a rare blend of old-world charm and modern comfort in the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan. From the moment you step into its intimate lobby, you are transported to a quieter, more refined New York, where personalized service and thoughtful details reign supreme.

The rooms are sanctuaries of calm, each equipped with plush bathrobes,拖鞋 (slippers), and premium toiletries. The beds are dressed in crisp linens, and a bedside clock radio ensures you never miss an alarm. For entertainment, an iPod dock and flat-screen cable TV await, while the desk provides a quiet workspace. The bathrooms are particularly indulgent, featuring deep soaking tubs or walk-in showers, and complimentary L’Occitane products.

Beyond the room, the hotel’s amenities cater to both leisure and business travelers. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi flows throughout the property. The on-site Monkey Bar is a legendary spot for craft cocktails and live jazz—a perfect evening escape. For those traveling by car, valet parking and an EV charging station are available (daily fee applies). The 24-hour front desk offers concierge services, luggage storage, and express check-in/out. Families will appreciate the board games and babysitting services (surcharge), while business guests can use the fax/copy services and business center.

Wellness is not overlooked: the hotel offers a range of massage therapies (from head to foot) by appointment. Safety features include electronic key cards, smoke detectors, and a safe in every room. The multilingual staff—fluent in Czech, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Slovak—ensures seamless communication for international visitors.
