Exploring Hawke's Bay While the motel’s comforts might tempt you to stay in, the wonders of Hawke's Bay are right on your doorstep. Here are three must-visit local attractions:

• Cape Kidnappers Gannet Colony: Located just a short drive away, this is one of the largest and most accessible mainland gannet colonies in the world. Witness thousands of these majestic seabirds nesting on dramatic coastal cliffs. You can access it via a scenic hike, a tractor tour along the beach, or a guided 4WD tour.
• Hawke's Bay Wine Trail: As one of New Zealand’s oldest and most celebrated wine regions, you’re amidst over 200 vineyards and cellar doors. Spend a day cycling (bike rentals are available at the motel) or driving between esteemed wineries in areas like Napier and Hastings, sampling exceptional Syrah, Chardonnay, and Bordeaux-style blends.
• Art Deco Napier: A mere 20-minute drive will transport you back to the 1930s in the city centre of Napier. Rebuilt in a stunning Art Deco style after a devastating earthquake in 1931, the city offers guided heritage walks, unique shopping, and vibrant cafes. It’s a living museum and a photographer’s dream.

Combining practical amenities like free parking and kitchenettes with genuine service and an excellent location, North Havelock Motel is more than just a place to sleep—it’s a welcoming gateway to experiencing all the charm and excitement of the Hawke's Bay region.
